  1. Step 1- mix flour,baking powder, bakingsoda,and salt and set aside
  2. Step 2 - mix magarine and shortening
  3. Step 3 - Add brown and white sugar to step 2 and mix well
  4. Step 4 - Add vanilla essence, an egg and milk to step 3 and mix well
  5. Step 5- mix step 4 and 1 well the add oats and mix well
  6. Step 6 - Chill for two hours
  7. Step 7 - scoop small quantities on a baking sheet/ tray - do not apply any butter or flour on the tray
  8. Bake for 12- 15 mins on 190°c
